World Zionist Congress Elections

The World Zionist Congress Elections will run in the UK between 6 and 10 July 2025. Here is all you need to know about voting:

Who should I vote for?

Of course, you can chose whoever you wish to vote for (there are nine lists running). But we hope that you will consider supporting Our Israel – the slate of Liberal, Masorti and Reform Judaism in the UK. The slate features a number of candidates from The Ark Synagogue (including Rabbi Lea and some of our best young people: Heela Bachrach, Hannah Fagioli-Kahky, Shaya Goldstein and Lucy Iveson).

What does Our Israel stand for?

Our aims are to

      • Help Israel heal and rebuild after October Seventh
      • Protect democracy in the Jewish state
      • Promote religious pluralism in Israel
      • Support Masorti and Progressive communities in Israel and worldwide

We are at a turning point in Jewish history. The voices of Liberal, Masorti and Reform Jews have never been more crucial.

Ultra-orthodox and hard-line nationalist parties are working hard to shape an Israel where our values are not welcome. If they win, they will chip away at democracy, attack religious freedom, defund our communities and shut moderate voices like ours out.

A vote for OUR ISRAEL is a vote for peace, pluralism, LGBT+ rights, gender equality, returning the hostages and strengthening our communities.

These elections are a unique opportunity to make our voice heard. Vote OUR ISRAEL to defend the values of tolerance and democracy, and support Israel to live up to its highest ideals.

Affiliated with Arzenu and Mercaz, the worldwide Zionist organisations of Liberal, Reform and Masorti Judaism.

How do I vote?

All registered voters should receive an email with instructions on how to vote. If you think you registered but did not receive an email, please check your spam folder. If you cannot find an email anywhere, please email Rabbi Lea.

I didn’t register, can I still vote?

Sadly, you will not be able to vote this time. But make sure to look out for the possibility to vote in 2030.

Any other questions, please email Rabbi Lea.
