Learn Hebrew Online

Want to unlock the ancient language of the Jewish people? Whether you want to improve your reading fluency or work on being able to translate our ancient texts, we have a Hebrew course to suit your needs as you can choose from two different levels or even attend more than one class. Classes meet weekly and are free of charge. However, we ask that those who are not members, friends or supporters of The Ark Synagogue consider making a regular contribution.

Improve your reading and understanding of Biblical Hebrew

TUESDAYS 6-7pm
Know some of the Hebrew alphabet but not quite sure how to string the letters together? This is the right level for you. All teaching materials will be made available during the lessons.

Translating the Hebrew Bible

TUESDAYS 7-8pm
Work on improving your Biblical Hebrew in this class focusing on translation. Prior knowledge of Hebrew grammar and basic vocabulary assumed.
